Ottolenghi signed for Marylebone Village

The Howard de Walden Estate is pleased to announce today that it will be welcoming a new Ottolenghi Deli to Marylebone Village, enhancing the area’s already diverse food & beverage offering and further increasing its appeal.

Ottolenghi has taken 1,500 sq ft of ground and basement level space on Marylebone Lane for a 10 year lease period. The space, designed with long-term collaborator, Alex Meitlis, will open in June 2021. It will feature a communal dining area, as well as some outside seating, for visitors to enjoy.

Ottolenghi, an established and highly regarded brand with a thriving online store, has been a leading name within the UK restaurant sector for many years. The concept was founded by well-known chef and food writer Yotam Ottolenghi, author of several best-selling cookbooks.

The news follows the addition of the British fashion label Isabel Manns pop-up in April, which occupies 1,280 sq ft of space at 96 Marylebone High Street. The store features the designer’s latest collection, as well as previous collections.

Isabel Manns is a forward-thinking contemporary British designer, producing high-end reversible clothing for women, at an accessible price point. The products are all hand-made and sustainably produced in the UK.

Isabel Manns is socially-conscious and committed to operating as sustainably as possible. In line with this, 10% of all purchases in-store are being donated to Maggie’s Cancer Charity.

Both brands are situated within Marylebone Village’s renowned retail and leisure district, with excellent local transport links, which will ensure that each thrives and enjoys a good flow of customers.

Retail & Leisure Director Jenny Casebourne at Howard de Walden commented:

“We are delighted to have secured two incredibly exciting new names for Marylebone Village, boosting our retail and leisure offering for visitors, local residents and other occupiers alike.

“Ottolenghi is a fantastic new addition to Marylebone Village and we have no doubt that they will add to the buzz of Marylebone Lane.

“We are also thrilled to have already welcomed Isabel Manns to Marylebone High Street, a forward-thinking British designer. It has brought a fresh, exciting element to our existing retail offering, and has proved a draw for shoppers.

“Isabel Manns as a brand places a significant focus on sustainability with their zero waste policy, reversible clothing and sustainable materials.

“These signings clearly reflect the enduring appeal of Marylebone Village as a retail and leisure destination, even with the disruption brought by Covid-19. As shops and restaurants re-open, providers are focused on securing high-quality space, with healthy footfall and a good existing tenant mix. This is precisely what Marylebone Village provides.”
